Hello there everyone! Sorry this took so long for an upload due to technical struggles at home. This is specially for my fellow Louisvillians out there, but because they have an online store I definitely recommend checking them out to any of my other readers as well! Today I will be blogging about Garage which has just had their grand opening at the St. Matthews Mall location on April 2nd, and I had the honor of being able to come through and share with you my experience with them!
I got to learn a lot about the store since they're a fresh face in town, although it's new to Louisville there's over 200 other stores around the world so it's not limited at all. Plus you still have the online store to rely on when in doubt. They're also a Canadian based brand that began in Montréal mostly focused on denim and the latest stylish fashion.
If you hadn't noticed before my hair is now a lavender! I used Color Brilliance Brights Lavender on my hair for 40 minutes which was a mixture of a brassy blonde and platinum blonde seen in the previous post. Aside from that fact I had thrown out, I was looking for something for summer more than Spring. Both go hand in hand but at this point as cute as the ponchos looked, I'd like for my boobs to not sweat bullets during the summer. I picked up a very nice crochet/lace bandeau. Since it is Coachella season, their collection specifically set for the occasion is very nice. Though I like the retro high waisted shorts (in black of course) better, they have festival styled high waisted shorts that are cut off a little more raggedy versus the retro ones. Gives it more of that airy flow and it's looser versus the retros as well, I had to size down for the festival shorts since they were more loose so you may have to do the same!
I have to say that the lighting in the store was actually very nice, what I look for when I take pictures or do anything is look for the key lighting in the place and the bright lights keep this store lit. It's great to see yourself in full (in the mirrors everywhere) and then to be in good lighting gives you even more of a confidence boost and makes you feel better about yourself and what you're about to purchase. Good lighting is good for anything.... food or people.
As my final touch off, I'd like to say my experience with Garage was great! They even gave me post-coupons for more shopping later on when I get my next paycheck despite the damage I've already done. I'd like to thank all the sales associates that helped me out while I was there and let me try on clothes even though I came in 30 minutes before closing time and stayed 7 minutes past closing time. (PSA: Please don't do this to literally any business whether it's retail or services, I felt terrible enough holding them back and taking so long and being employed myself I know the struggle. People want to go home too!) They were super nice and sweet and really helpful. My sales associate that helped me out a lot was Andrea who tried to suggest a denim jacket to pair with one of my outfits but I have one at home already. The employees are what make a store experience great along with the merchandise, and I'm glad to say I had a good one.
